Are you a high school student interested in starting your college experience?
The Running Start program is an opportunity for qualified juniors and seniors to enroll in college early! For students who are ready for an academic challenge in an independent, and diverse learning environment, Running Start at Highline College can help you to earn college-level credits that can also be applied towards your high school graduation requirements.
Approximately 1500 Running Start students from 12 high school districts attend Highline College each year. Many even earn an associates degree and a high school diploma in two-years of Running Start. You can earn credits for university transfer, or prepare for a career in a high-demand field.
Our High School Programs Office can help you determine whether Running Start will meet your needs, and get you started on the application and enrollment process. We also assist current students in navigating the college environment, maintaining their eligibility for Running Start, and planning for career or transfer goals.
The Access Services office can provide academic accommodations for students with a documented, permanent or temporary physical, mental or sensory disability. Since placement tests are untimed, there is no need to request a time extension, but other accommodations are available. If you think you may need further accommodations, either for placement tests or your future classes, please contact the Access Services Office.
