Former and non-Running Start students should contact the Advising Center for advising.

Current Running Start students can meet with a Running Start Advisor for advising which includes course selection and scheduling, long-term academic planning, degree selection, transfer planning, reviewing graduation requirements, understanding Running Start and Highline College policies, college navigation and support.

Schedule an advising appointment with a Running Start Advisor

Current Running Start students can schedule an advising appointment with a Running Start Advisor.

• Advising appointments are available both in-person and virtually on Microsoft Teams.
• Advising appointments can be scheduled up to 14 days in advance. If no appointments are available, we recommend checking back next day for new appointment availability.
• Advising appointment availability may be limited during peak advising and enrollment times.
• If you need to cancel an appointment that you can no longer attend, please cancel your appointment or contact us.

Drop-in Advising

Drop-in advising (no appointment necessary) is available in-person and virtually. Drop-in advising sessions are intended for brief discussions and questions. Depending upon demand, drop-in advising sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and may be limited to 10-15 minutes.

• In-person Drop-in Advising: Check in at the Running Start office front desk.
• Virtual Drop-in Advising: Check in at the time you are ready to meet with an advisor by completing the Running Start Drop-in Advising Check-in Form.
